 Schools battle for the Hawks Cup Minimize

Twenty two teams from three regions battled out the first round of the Hawks Cup, searching for both school supremacy as well as the opportunity of representative honours and New Zealand seclection.

We know have six teams remaining to play off for the Hawks Cup in three regions throughout New Zealand.

Porirua cluster winners Aotea College will take on Wellington cluster winner Onslow College for the Lower North Island Regional Championship.

Whakatane cluster winners Edgecumbe College will take on Tauranga cluster winner Tauranga Boys College for the Eastern North Island Regional Championship.

In Auckland the winners of four different clusters, St Peters, Kelston, Mahurangi and Papatoetoe will battle it out for the Upper North Island Championships.

The initial round has seen a squad of fifty players selected for the Under 15 New Zealand Squad to participate in the Oceania Championships in Fiji on December 10 to 14.

Oceania Cup

AFL Oceania General Manager Andrew Cadzow was in Auckland to survey some fanastic raw potential that is guarenteed to capture Australian talents scouts interest.

Games will culminate on November 4th and 5th with the three finals to be played at Kelston Boys College 4th Nov, Tauranga Boys College 4th Nov, Aotea College Nov 5th
