What experience do I need?
AFL encompasses all sizes and shapes and experience levels. Most teams have some Australian ex-patriots who play but the majority of players have started and learned the game in New Zealand just like you.
Players from other sports such as rugby, soccer, league and basketball are welcome to participate and we hope that not only will you enjoy the game but it can assist you in improving your skills in what ever sport you choose.
Clubs will have coaching staff that can assist you with your induction and we also have some information regarding skills and the rules of the game that can assist you contained below.
